We were proud to see Dr. Csaba Dózsa, one of Med-Econ’s lead health economics experts, join a distinguished panel of professionals to discuss the future of pharmacy-led healthcare in Hungary.
Panelists included:
Stephen Thomas – Chief Pharmacist, Rowlands Pharmacies (UK)
Dr. András Fittler – Dean, University of Pécs Faculty of Pharmacy
Dr. habil Csaba László Dózsa – Associate Professor, University of Miskolc; Senior Expert, Med-Econ Ltd.
Dr. Dózsa’s contribution focused on:
• The health policy context and economic rationale for introducing Pharmacy First in Hungary
• Key implementation tasks and expected system-level impacts
• A proposed timeline for adapting and scaling the service locally
The discussion emphasized how pharmacist-led services could play a larger role in easing the burden on primary care, while offering faster, accessible solutions for patients.
